The growth of the Puerto Rican entrepreneurial ecosystem has always been impressive to us, almost like proud parents. However, others in the global tech world are starting to take notice!
On October 30, the Consejo Empresarial de America Latina (CEAL) held its annual meeting in Mexico City and, for the first time, showcased tech, entrepreneurship, and the burgeoning startup scene across LatAm. Puerto Rico had an amazing showing with 4 PR-based investors alongside 4 local startups – a representation second only to the home team, Mexico.Local activity is also being supplemented by those from the outside who see the appeal of setting up shop from the beach. The chatter has reached as far as London. I think the only reason they are missing is that the people are pretty darn amazing too.
